The Moticam X is yet another innovative productivity tool, the first digital camera to offer high-resolution streaming images from its own wireless network. The camera will link with your WiFi-enabled pc or laptop running Windows XP, MAC OSX or higher, letting you view, edit and save live images right from a microscope. With 2.0MP of live resolution and 1.3MP of WiFi resolution, the Moticam X turns any optical microscope into a WiFi-enabled digital documentation lab.  

By using Motic's free App "MotiConnect", you can logon with your Android or iOS tablet to connect and share with up to six devices in the network, all without an additional router. The Moticam X can also includes on-board software which can be controlled through an HTML5 or higher web browser. This is ideal for applications requiring quick response, or environments where downloading apps is inpractical.

As with all Motic cameras, the Moticam X comes equipped with a full line of accessories, including measuring software, a calibration slide for accuracy, two eyepiece adapters (30mm & 38mm) for attaching directly to the eyepiece of a microscope or telescope, and a useful focusing lens and macro stand for stand-alone use.

Ideally suited for schools and small laboratories, it incorporates full C-Mount compatibility and the rugged metal housing makes this unit appropriate for use in both scientific and industrial environments. It will provide years of trouble-free operation. It is also easy to install and use... you will enjoy clear, detailed color images on your monitor or projector with a minimum of effort. Moticam Series Features

Re-designed for 2012, the new Moticam general purpose line of microscope cameras all feature an ergonomic housing and upgraded CMOS sensors. They feature a large color palette for exceptional color resolution along with improved white balance and sensitivity. Critically, they are free from the smearing and blur that characterizes other systems in this price range.

Robust documentation and measuring software is included with all the Moticam cameras as well as 2 adjustable adapters to fit over the eyepieces of most microscopes. Other features include fast refresh rates, auto/ manual exposure and white balance control, full screen live imaging, time-lapse photography and user-friendly, image capture.

Software

The included Motic Images Plus software offers PC/MAC compatibility and simple, accurate and easy-to-use controls for image capture, notation and measuring. File formats include JPG, BMP, TIFF, RAW. Measuring capabilities include length, width, height, thickness, circumference, radius, angles and dot counts while notations can be easily made on any given image.

The software also includes auto white balance and color enhancement among other benefits while image capture and storage is intuitive. The software is also fully TWAIN and DirectX compatible, allowing simple integration with a wide range of commercial and scientific imaging software. Moreover, both TWAIN and DirectX plug-ins are independent of the main driver, which allows discreet control of the camera for these applications.
