Compact, high-definition, high-speed and high-sensitivity C-mount camera.

DS-Fi3 is a high-definition color microscope camera equipped with a 5.9 megapixel CMOS image sensor. Its high-speed data readout, superior color reproduction and high quantum efficiency are optimal for imaging in various observations, such as brightfield, DIC, phase contrast and fluorescence observation.

High definition imaging

DS-Fi3 is equipped with a 5.9 megapixel CMOS image sensor, which enables the capture of high-definition images of up to 2880 x 2048 pixels. With this new CMOS image sensor and high-speed data transfer via USB 3.0, DS-Fi3 enables fast focusing even in high-resolution imaging, and efficient image acquisition when using a wide range of illumination techniques.

High sensitivity and low noise

The DS-Fi3 has significantly higher quantum efficiency and lower readout noise than conventional models. It allows for the capture of brighter images with higher S/N ratios in fluorescence observation modes.

High-speed live display

Due to the high-speed data readout by the CMOS image sensor and high-speed USB3.0 data transfer, the DS-Fi3 displays live images of full 2880 x 2048-pixel images at 15 fps, and 1440 x 1024-pixel images at 30 fps. This enables smooth display during focusing and the selection of observation locations.

Excellent color reproducibility

Nikon is well known for outstanding and lifelike color reproduction, and developing superior algorithms for creating results that look like the actual samples. These algorithms are used in all of the color cameras in the digital sight lineup.

Direct connection to a PC

The DS-Fi3 allows direct connection to a PC via a USB3.0 interface to control the camera and capture images using NIS-Elements imaging software.

16.25 megapixels (not interpolated) and accurate color rendition are features that make the DS-Ri2 an excellent choice for recreating color images as the eye sees them.

16.25-megapixel CMOS sensors for astonishing image quality

The DS-Ri2 makes possible one-shot instantaneous capture and fast storage of images with a resolution as high as 4908 x 3264 pixels, without pixel shifting or pixel stepping.

This pixel density is ideally suited for the photomicrography of ultra-fine structures or patterns in biological or industrial samples, at low or high magnifications.

The DS-Ri2’s new image processing engine is based on extensive data accumulated over many years of developing color digital microscope cameras, resulting in the perfect reproduction of the colors your eyes see in the microscope.

High-speed live display = High-speed display, even of supra-HDTV-class live images

The DS-Ri2 can display 4908 x 3264 pixel (full-pixel) images at 6 fps, or 1636 x 1088 pixel (3 x 3 pixel averaging) images at 45 fps. This fast live frame rate makes fine focusing easy to perform.

High sensitivity, low noise = Fluorescent color image capture with high signal-to-noise ratio

Sensitivity settings that span the range from ISO200 to ISO12800 allow for the capture of vivid fluorescent color images.

DS-Qi2 Monochrome microscope camera:

Capture low light fluorescence and large fields of view.

Equipped with a Nikon digital SLR camera FX-format CMOS sensor optimized for microscopy, the DS-Qi2 is an ultra-high quality 16.25 megapixel monochrome camera that features high pixel density, high sensitivity and low noise.  The DS-Qi2 is an excellent choice for applications in quantitative fluorescence imaging.

High sensitivity = Detects even faint fluorescent signals

7.3µm pixels, high quantum efficiency, and very low read noise allow the DS-Qi2 to even read faint fluorescent signals.

Excellent linearity = Reliable quantitative analysis made possible

With a linearity error of ±1%, the DS-Qi2 is a superb tool for measuring intensities in fluorescence samples, including time-based intensity measurement and ratiometric measurement.

Low noise = Acquires dim fluorescent signals with ultra-low noise

2.2 electrons read noise, coupled with a large full-well capacity, allows for the acquisition of fluorescence images with very little noise and a very high dynamic range.

Time-lapse photography = Fluorescent time-lapse imaging through integration with NIS-Elements software

With a large field of view, high pixel density, and low noise, the DS-Qi2 is ideal for time-resolved imaging applications.
